72-Hour Family Emergency Plan — Printable Workbook (Quebec Edition)

January power outage, spring flooding, sudden evacuation: in one evening, your family has a clear, written, and ready plan.

Authorities ask every household to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours during a disaster. This workbook turns that advice into a concrete plan, adapted to your home and your family, with the realities of Quebec: freezing rain, floods, boil-water advisories, and extreme heat.

What the workbook contains (15 pages, letter format)

• Family form: health, allergies, essential medications, people needing assistance, pets
• Emergency contacts: essential numbers already listed (911, Info-Santé 811, Hydro-Québec outages, Poison Control Centre) and spaces for your loved ones
• Evacuation plan: grid to draw the house, meeting points, location of water, electricity, and gas shut-offs
• Supplies calculator: water, food, and equipment based on the number of people and pets
• 72-hour kit checklist, categorized
• 5 scenario sheets for before / during / after: prolonged power outage and freezing rain, flooding, 10-minute evacuation, boil-water advisory, extreme heat
• Rotation of supplies so that nothing in your kit expires
• Important documents and annual review
• 8 wallet cards to cut out, one for each family member
