Digital guides (PDF)
How do I receive the PDF guides?
Immediately after purchase, you will receive an email with a download link. The link is also displayed on the order confirmation page. You can read the guides on screen, fill them out on a tablet, or print them to keep with your kit, even without electricity.
I didn't receive the download email. What should I do?
Check your junk mail or Promotions tab first. If the email is not there, write to us at info@quebecsurvie.com with your order number and we will resend the link.
What is the difference between the bundles?
The Family Fortress Collection brings together all 9 guides for $49.99 instead of $116.91: basic preparedness and all specific scenarios (power crisis, flooding, forest fires, winter on the road, cyberattack, nuclear threat).
The Essentials bundle includes the 3 core guides for $29.99: the 72h Family Emergency Plan, the Ultimate Emergency Preparedness Guide, and Feeding Yourself When Everything Stops. This is the right place to start if you are beginning your preparation.
Each guide is also sold individually, starting at $11.99. See all guides.
Are the guides up to date?
Yes. All guides have been reviewed for the 2027 edition. They are based on official guidelines (Government of Quebec, Public Health, Public Safety Canada) and local realities: freezing rain, spring flooding, boil water advisories, winter storms, and forest fires.
Are the guides available in English?
Yes. All 9 guides and the 2 bundles are available in French and English (2027 edition), at the same price. Simply select the language on the product page before adding to the cart. The English version maintains the Quebec resources with their official names in English.
Can I print the guides and share them?
You may print your guides as many times as necessary for your personal and family use. Please do not resell them or share them publicly.
Emergency preparedness
What should a 72h emergency kit contain?
Authorities recommend being self-sufficient for at least 72 hours: drinking water (at least 2 litres per person per day for drinking, about 4 litres including cooking and hygiene), non-perishable food, a flashlight or candle, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, a first-aid kit, medication, copies of important documents, and cash. Our ready-to-use 72h kits include the essentials in one bag.
Where do I start if I am not prepared at all?
Start with three simple steps: write down your emergency contacts, gather 72 hours' worth of water and food, and decide with your family where to meet if you have to leave home. The 72h Family Emergency Plan workbook guides you step-by-step and can be filled out in one evening.
What should I keep in the car in winter?
A shovel, a scraper, blankets, warm clothing, water, snacks, a flashlight, a phone charger, and a first-aid kit. Also, keep the gas tank at least half full. Our automotive survival kit and the guide Winter on the Road help you prepare for everything.
